Okay, do not take this too seriously in actual history terms, this is just a fun what if concept design exercise.
So, what would you interpretations be of a joint banner of Hardrada, William & Godwinson to create the powerhouse North Sea Empire across Britain, Scandinavia, Iceland & France.
The scenario is after the battle of Hastings, Hardrada wins. After this, he spares the families of Godwinson & William (the families not the two monarchs) marrying them into his family creating a powerhouse alliance of Normandy & the North Sea Empire. A continuation of the Viking Age as such, with the North Sea Empire becoming a Scandinavian led Norse/Dane Anglo-Saxon Norman alliance.
I'm thinking one of Godwinson's daughters marries one of Hardrada's sons. The most compliant Godwinson gets to rule Northern England as a vassal. Same with William, his most compliant relative gets Southern England, with the promise that Hardrada's grandchild through Godwinson's line will marry one of William's descendants and unify them into a single dynasty. The first heir to be born of all three lineages will inherit the entire North Sea Empire, including Norway-Denmark, Iceland, England & Normandy.
If you find this concept interesting, create for yourself a concept banner/crest of this dynasty. You do not have to share them here, but I would love to see what you guys come up with. You can also spruce up the concept in your own direction, what I've put up is my own concept scenario, but the only hardline rule is combine all three dynasties in some capacity. Have fun creating.
