Large Solar Fountain Pump
Hello everyone!
My brother works at a landscaping yard and has talked about having some of their custom water fountains powered by solar. I was originally trying to stick with 12V to simplify the design but I haven't had much luck finding a 4500 GPH pump at 12V. I put together the above diagram and would really appreciate some feedback! The idea is that the pump would automatically turn on via the photocell at dawn and turn off at dusk.
The system would be in an electrical cabinet mounted on a vertical pole. I would ground the system with a grounding rod. I did an online calculator shown below that showed that I would need more storage for this setup. I used 300W as a F.O.S. Thoughts? Thank you!
