Okk so I start uni in September and I currently have two jobs in my hometown (which I will be moving out of for uni). One job is a family business I’ve worked at for around 3 years and I know that I’ll be able to come and go from it during holidays from uni. My question/s are around my other job.
I started working at TGJones (WHSmith) in February and I’m not really sure what the procedure is in regards to uni students? I’ve heard people who work at supermarket chains quite commonly and frequently move between the two depending on uni terms but I don’t know if that’s a possibility with TGJ? Furthermore if I were to pick up another TGJ job in my uni town how will they feel about me coming and going during half term holidays? That feels like something that might not be liked.
I suppose I’m mostly asking people who have experience with WHSmith, TGJones, or anyone similar (The Works, etc) alongside uni life.
And yes I very much could ask my manager but that’s scary - I probably will at some point but for now Reddit is my research thank you bye
