Looking for something specific: glass lid for a Farberware pot *with a vent*
Good morning, r/cookware.
My wife just bought a new Farberware 5 quart Dutch oven. She was thrilled because she both needed a new pot and wanted the brand.
However, she discovered after opening it that the glass lid has no air vent. We have a different size pot with such a lid, it has a hole in the glass with a metal grommet - no valve or anything, just a vent.
She told me she really wants a lid to fit this particular pot, and if I find it for her that will be her birthday present. Problem is, Farberware doesn't make one, and I haven't found one that fits the specific pot.
The glass lid is 9.25 inches over a 5 quart metal Dutch oven. I've searched Farberware's site, eBay, and been in contact with Farberware's customer service. No dice.
If there's another brand with a vented lid that would fit hers, I'd buy the whole thing. If there was a way to order a custom lid with a vent, I'd do it. Can anyone here offer a suggestion or direct me to somewhere? I'd be grateful for any help.
