I never thought to get the measurements when we were there so I don’t have a rough number, all I can say is I think they’re small from memory. You can see lots of other tracks around them, (I think seagulls and ducks?), so maybe they could be used as a size reference? The tracks in question look small in comparison to the birds. I know it’s hard without measurements, but I’d like to try for an ID because my coworkers think it’s beaver, but I think it’s too small for that (and missing the hind feet?). I know muskrats are like little versions, but the prints don’t look right to me in general for either. So, does anyone have an idea? It’s near Smoky Lake, for a more specific location.
