Why are my mice so lethargic
I am worried I am not feeding them enough/ well enough. The past few days when I come home from work and go to feed them and change the water the aren’t getting up to eat immediately like usual and they act weird. They will stay hidden and stay in a ball with their eyes closed and they are breathing slowly.
I’ve been worried so instead of just leaving seeds or fruits in the cages I have been putting it right in their faces and they don’t even seem interested, but when they do eat they perk right up and run all night and jump and climb.
I have been feeding them primarily seed mix from the pet store and sometimes apples, pears, berries, or flowers and I am worried that I’m messing it up. Do I need to change something about their diets? Are they just waking up and that’s why they’re acting so sleepy? I don’t think that they don’t have access to food because they always leave seeds and stuff so I don’t know why they’re not eating if it seems to make them feel better.
I attached a video of one of them. He’s about a year old and you can see how he’s breathing slowly and laying in a weird way.
