Playback shows person detection, but no push notifications in Guarding Vision

Looking for some advice on my current security camera setup.

I have 7 existing hardwired Swann cameras connected to a new OEM DVR using the Guarding Vision app.

Remote viewing works fine and during playback/smart search the DVR seems to recognize people and vehicles properly (shows person/car icons in playback).

However, I cannot get actual push notifications or event logging in the app when a person is detected.

Installer says the cameras are older analog cameras, so while the DVR can identify people during playback, the system can’t send real-time person notifications unless I upgrade to AI IP cameras + NVR.

Does that sound correct?

Also wondering:

- could I replace just a couple of the existing cameras (front door/driveway) with newer AI cameras using the current wiring and get notifications that way?

- or would the entire system need replacing?

Trying to avoid replacing 7 working cameras if possible.

Thanks!
