Gonna start this out by saying I’m aware of the ideal setup- I fish it on braid heavy rod yadda yadda all that good stuff and after a hit I reel a tiny bit of slack in and then set that mf pretty hard. I’ve bent out the hooks n everything aswell. Is it just me or is the hookup ratio ACTUALLY TRASH like I’ve heard? Posting this after losing a 3-4lber; set the hook on him and he jumped out the water twice and that was enough for it to get spit. Like damn I love fishing the frog but I’m about to reach my breaking point
