Heya beautiful people, I'm new to Obsidian & finally decided to dedicate some time to explore it & learn it thoroughly (plus planning on making the move from the slow & buggy mess: Notion).
My main point with this post is asking for some direction/advice/plugin suggestions/any youtube videos you think are a must watch for beginners like me
I'm planning to replicate the same workflow I have with Notion, but in Obsidian, and as reference, I've been using my own version of Chris Punt's "Life OS" Notion dashboard, Linked here.
I've just finished watching a video about Obsidian's new "bases" feature and it's pretty much the same as Notion, that's already promising.
(plus, I've been using Notion calendar alongside Notion itself and it's become a necessity for me).
To the more experienced Obsidian users, my question(s):
- To what degree do you think, is it possible to replicate a notion workflow, but in Obsidian? the same one as Chris's Life OS dashboard? Is it even achievable? should I even waste my time with this or just stick to Notion?
will it be worthwhile? - What type of plugins would you recommend for me to explore?
- To anyone who has exported and imported stuff from Notion & Microsoft To-Do: How smooth has that been? (I'm planning to do the same but have a fear of stuff breaking, lol)
- A sort of unrealistic ask but: My ideal goal with all this is to have a multitude of apps (kinda), all in one, I'm thinking: Notion+Notion Calendar (using it as a Habit tracker+Time blocking/management), then also: Microsoft To-Do (for Tasks & reminders etc)
P.S: I've been scouring the interwebs and added quite a few plugins already (which I found interesting and might use), I'll filter through these later on.
Sorry for the long post, any help is appreciated!
