Just got my attorney to call in regarding my accident from nearly 3 years ago approx. & was already scheduled to have my settlement signed by a judge if this is how things are supposed to work…?

Questions I have are how do things like this usually happen & from here on out, how long should it take in the state of TX?

(AI says 4-6 wks, but just wanted some clarification into this figure before I overthink; because I’m in the middle of negotiating with someone for a used car right now due to the issues with the last vehicle that doesn’t run well anymore — for my precautionary senses & safety atleast…due to being hit in a small space vehicle.)
