Last week I flew on the very rare Boeing 737-500. With just one 735 left, air north is the last airline in not only North America, but the entire western world to operate this type on passenger flights.
Air north operates this aircraft within Canada on some rural routes, but also uses it on the multi stretch route going from Whitehorse-Vancouver-Victoria, with the latter being just a 15 minute flight. Air north sells independent tickets for this second short flight and that’s exactly what I did.
This bird is currently 33,5 years old, having first been delivered LOT in December 1992, then moving on to Rwandair in 2010 before finally being delivered to Air North in the summer of 2014. All in all a cool experience!
