Anyone earn their masters or doctorate with chiari dx?

Just recently started feeling symptoms and diagnosis (Chiari 1 and another brain abnormality) after a head injury. I was set to graduate with my MA next year but now I’m worried.

Would love some encouragement and courage to continue. Also some tips on self-care throughout your process.

Hit my head really hard and CT scan found abnormalities

I (25F) hit my head really hard today. Immediately felt dizzy, nauseous and had cold sweats for the first hour. I felt a headache for three more hours before I decided to go to emergency room.
I also started having pain behind my right eye and the right side of my neck just below my head while in the hospital (6hrs since hitting myself).

Got CT scan and these were the results:
- no brain bleed
- “Low-lying cerebellar tonsils, approximately 6.4 mm caudal to the foramen magnum possibly secondary to a Chiari I malformation. Correlate clinically.”
- “Mildly asymmetric conspicuity of the right lateral ventricle temporal horn.”

They sent me home saying the abnormalities might have been since birth. I don’t feel like that’s right. I’ve not had any symptoms before today.

Am I overthinking? Is it really a begin abnormality? Or what should I do?
