Will posting a new short ruin the current momentum of the already performing short?Or do you wait until the current peak starts to slightly dip?

I'm not in ypp yet but crosse md 3m short views in 28 days but my yt support is enabled so I reached out to them as to why it's showing onlyn 1.4m valid views in 3 months when i have over 3 million views on my dashboard, they said it's the engaged views that matter, has anyone been there?
