I'm low key freaking out about my chocolate situation so here's everything I can think to tell to get some help.

Choco, 14 yr old (or more, she was a stray), was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism on April 6 and immediately started on methimazole. She's very small so her dose is 1/4 pill twice a day (4 am & 4pm). She's also started Royal Canin Renal Support dry food (prescription) and Weruva low phosphorus wet food (not prescription), but feeds on IAMS at 10am when im at work. She has an appointment coming up on May 2nd, the earliest I was able to move it up to.

The first few days of her medication were going great. No issues administering it and her symptoms (cough, overeating/always hungry) seemed to better.

On day 19 she started coughing and gagging at night, no puke.

On day 20 there was puke (clear liquid, some hair) when I came back from work, but there is a second cat in the house so i wasn't 100% sure it was Choco.

Day 21, she puked five times through the day (3am- 3pm). This puke was clear liquid and undigested kibble, and another has green with bits of a plant (according to my partner). My other cat puked once, a clear liquid.

Day 22 (today), she puked liquid and possible plant bits at 3 am, the plant was removed. An hour after her medication, which she always takes with wet food, she puked what seemed like everything she ate. I gave her a few pieces of kibble as she stood by her plate after and I've been with her for the past hour, no puke/gagging.

I'm going to the her vet either way on Saturday but I wanted some more opinions as I am freaking out dealing with this situation for the first time. What concerns me about her puking is that it only started in the last three days and it goes on throughout the day. I don't know how much of her medication she's retaining. She only started the Weruva wet food on the afternoon of April 27th, after puking that morning and coughing the previous night. She did a trial run of prescription food before switching her over, she wasn't puking then.

She has been my companion for half of my life now and I want to do everything I can to help her feel better.

Pics are just now and when she went to the vet. Thank you.
