Current job outlook for CAA? Current premed considering switching to CAA. Any insight is appreciated!
CAA seems like a very attractive route. But at the same time, I do have several concerns about this career and questions and I would love to hear some different perspectives on.
Job outlook/security/salary. I have heard words that this field has not been doing as well as it used to? What is your opinion on job opportunities/market saturation for CAAs 10-20 years down the line?
Related to the last question, I understand that there seem to be a distaste of some CRNA towards CAA as a profession, including certain push on a organization level. I am feeling unclear on how that will impact which regions/organizations will hire CAAs and what the OR team composition will look (and is looking) like?
As a CA resident I do wish to come back and be able to work here at least within the next 10 years. I see that there was a bill that went to the senate and that was pretty much the end of that. How much hope should there be place on being able to eventually practice in California?
4. If there are any CAA/CRNA and MD who switched from one path to another, would you mind sharing your experience with your decision, and if there is anything that you would do differently? What is the biggest drawback that you observe of these two path?
