I forgot which card I applied for during VKYC
This funny incident happened today during VKYC for an HSBC credit card. I had applied for their credit card about a month ago, but at the last step of the application, when I had to upload my bank statement, the page refreshed in Chrome, and I lost my application. I went to their website trying to retrieve it but gave up soon. Days passed, and I started getting calls to complete my application. The person was dictating the website to retrieve the application over the phone. I asked him to send me the link via SMS and hung up. Finally, yesterday they sent me an email with a link to retrieve and complete my application, so I thought I'd give it a try. The application was submitted, and I got a link for VKYC and an application summary sheet.
Today, during VKYC, the first question the representative asked was, "Which card have you applied for?" I was thrown off guard trying to remember. I checked their email for the application summary, and even in the document, they had not mentioned which card I applied for. In fact, after clicking "apply" on their website, the card name is nowhere mentioned in the process. The representative told me to go and check the card features on their website and try again, then closed the call.
