Context: I'm a freshman

Everywhere I go and see on linkedin I'm continuously astonished everyday. I'm really grateful I landed something decent this summer, but holy fuck is it insane seeing what other freshmen are doing. I've seen dudes already land QT at Optiver, swe at 2sigma, Google, Bloomberg, spacex and ofc the dozens of zons. Maybe it's just a linkedin bubble but I swear I never saw freshmen doing this much in previous years. I also saw a mf interning at zon as a prefrosh bro

I have the option between Lockheed and also a yc startup from the current spring batch. I definitely want to work ft for 2-3 years in big tech / unicorns before jumping into the startup realm, so thats why I'm considering Lockheed for the name to recruit better next year.

I definitely do think though that the work at the startup will be much more interesting, since I'll mostly be doing systems work in C++ at Lockheed but full-stack at the startup.
