[WWTBC] FMC flees from her ex to his enemy (MMC) + grovel
Hello, I’ve been looking for a certain book for over a year now, and I really hope somebody knows it. I think it’s a trilogy.
The storyline was:
The FMC steals something very expensive from her ex-boyfriend, who is a powerful man involved in the criminal world. She’s terrified and flees. I think she may have been a professional thief.
She then turns to his enemy for help. The MMC is the enemy. He is very powerful and is the only person capable of protecting her from her ex. Everyone is afraid of him. I believe he is some kind of mafia boss. Later in the story, we find out that the MMC and the ex are related. I believe they might be half-brothers.
At the beginning, the FMC goes to the MMC’s yacht, but he turns her away. She doesn’t give up. Later, she tries to sneak into his villa, and I think she gets caught while climbing over his wall. Eventually, they come to some kind of agreement. He protects her and in return she sleeps with him. The MMC hold all the power.
The FMC develops feelings for him, but he coldly rejects her. She runs away and flees to her ex. (Book 2?) The MMC realizes to late how he really feels about her. There is a lot of angst and grovel involved. He is ready to give her all the power.
I also remember that the MMC’s butler disliked her a lot.
I’m pretty sure the series was on Kindle Unlimited, and I think there was also a spin-off serious about the ex with a new love interest.
Does anyone know what series this could be?
