This is the moment a 27-year-old man casually walked into a hospital in Mumbai, India with a machete lodged in the side of his head.

Local reports said he had been struck in the head during an attack on Saturday (May 2). Scans later revealed the blade had plunged nearly 1.5 inches into his brain but avoided critical areas, leaving his speech and motor functions intact.

Surgeons successfully removed the weapon, and the man is now being monitored in a trauma ICU in stable condition. Authorities said three suspects have been arrested over the man’s assault.
