My Range Experience: VP9CC + CC9
I'm a somewhat novice shooter, been shooting for a few years once every few months since there aren't many ranges near me with hours that fit my schedule. I'm still working on doing better trigger pulls that don't veer slightly off center. Also a lefty so you have my left handed shooter seal of approval on both of these, flat out best ambi micro 9s I've felt so far.
I've had the CC9 for about a year and put probably 750 rounds through it with a dot on it.
Got the VP9CC a week ago and just put 200 rounds through it today.
Here's my early conclusions.
--
CC9:
- Good grip when holding, but slightly uncomfortable when shooting
- Great build quality
- Zero malfunctions so far
- Basically unusable co-witnesses with my Holosun 507k. Through the window it's tiny little nub that is barely visible.
- Good groupings given my still-improving trigger pulls.
VP9CC:
- Exceptional build quality. Feels much more premium even when the CC9 feels premium.
- Better trigger. Feels better, better wall, loving the red striker indicator.
- Zero malfunctions so far
- Excellent co-witness with my Holosun 507k
- Slightly uncomfortable grip when holding, but it feels better when shooting and controlling recoil. I used the 12 rd mag that if comes with.
- Groupings feel about 20-30% tighter than my CC9 at 40 feet
- Paddle mag release is amazing
- Charging fins are really helpful
- I didn't have any slide bite but I have small hands. Be advised that big hands might have slide bite given recent reports.
Overall I feel like the VP9CC is worth it, but not $400 more worth it. If you have the money grab the VP9CC no brainer imo. Definitely a fan of it!
