Where it started vs current state
Being an early tester of the beta controller I was very excited to get my hands on their new offering. Clearly the changes are many and huge progress has been made, albeit slowly, as the beta controller was released back in 2013. It's nice to finally get my hands on their newest controller and be able to see and feel the growth over the years. Clearly they didn't completely abandon what made the original controller so unique and what's been added shows how well they were able to adapt their vision with what every modern controller needs to maintain frictionless compatibility with games and familiarity with users.
All that fluff is simply to say it's a very cool piece of hardware that's making gaming on the couch easier than ever. I'm grateful that Valve is still pushing forward with new hardware even when they don't quite get it right the first time.
