I've been experimenting with splats on iPhone for quite a while but I've never had much success with any of the apps, sure some of my tests have worked out really well but anytime I go to scan something I actually want to scan they seem to fall flat.

I've tried a few different apps recently and each has its pros and cons but I basically want something that, combines the lidar, with photos, and if possible location data for the phone in a way I can export it to my macbook and process it there.

It might be a process issue on my end but the last few attempts have left me feeling hopeless, the apps that process it for you in the cloud or on device don't give you control in a way to eliminate bad data so for larger scans it quickly hits a limit in my experience. Most the apps I've tried do fine with medium to large objects but none of the apps I've found to be any good with areas larger than a single room. The main issue I have with the apps though is most of them have the data locked away or require you to pay a sub to export it in a useful way.

App is buggy, never offers to save passwords right, when it even bothers to ask for me the information is incomplete or incorrect. I updated a password the other day and it saved it in the version history but reverted to the old password as the current password.

They added and removed the feature to search for related sites in a way that you could click on it and autofill which is useful if you have more than a few logins for a site.

I didn’t mind that too much except now majority of the sites I sign in with stopped autofilling so you have to search, copy/ paste the account, hope the plugin remembers your place or scroll to find it again.

The worst is Microsoft, it stopped filling TOTP with the number and instead fills it with the email if you click, which would be fine because you can just paste the code BUT someone on the dev team thought it would be funny to delay the loading of the TOTP by just enough time after paste that right when you click sign in the inline autofill pops up filling the email.

Worst part about the above is there’s about 5-6 reports about this and even a person who claims to have fixed it in a PR but has been ignored.

Edit: to everyone saying it’s fine, I’m happy for you but if you are using the free version for just yourself you are likely not going to face the issues I’m talking about.. I use it for my work and I administer it for around 100 users. Every person on my team has complained to me about bitwarden in the last few months so I know I’m not alone.
