I'm running an episodic style game in which my players enter through a dungeon door and are presented with a random dungeon to complete. My next dungeon has them hunting an artifact for a graveknight.

I want to give them the choice of stealing the artifact, returning from the dungeon without giving it back to potentially set up a returning antagonist on the form of a graveknight.

Problem is, I haven't got a huge amount of experience and so I can't decide on what the item should be (or why the graveknight might want it).

So I came to ask, what sort of item do you think a level 5 party would be tempted to steal at the risk of incurring the (future) wrath of this graveknight?
