Having difficulty with a new diagnosis

a loved one was recently diagnosed with glioblastoma and I'm torn up because they are considering not pursuing treatments. It is unmethylated and has midline involvement with a 10mm portion in the thalamus but they achieved close to 95 percent removal of the 5cm tumor. I'm afraid if they don't pursue at least radiation treatment, we'll lose quality time that we could be spending with them especially since they have KPS ~80 but they do have some short term and working memory issues. I understand their decision is 100% up to them, but I also feel like it's my fault if i'm not presenting some information to them correctly or in a good enough way. Or maybe i'm being delusional and need to just accept no treatment will work. I am crushed by this entire scenario and I don't know what to do or how to feel.

edited to add: early 70s, MGMT promoter unmethylated; EGFR amplified (~15 copies), chromosome 10/PTEN loss, CDKN2A/B biallelic homozygous deletion
