After playing Natlan I'm confused about a plot point from Fontaine
I want to preface this by saying I played Fontaine on release and then stepped away for about 2.5 years and came back. I'm playing through Natlan atm, and my memory might be inaccurate because of that gap.
Anyway, I remember Fontaine having the trial for Furina and a big part of it was whether she was a human or an Archon and how the two were proposed as mutually exclusive.
Now I'm playing through Natlan and the entire thing about the Pyro Archon is that they are humans who take up the role. It's an integral part of their culture that their Archon is a mortal human, and surely this is known outside of Natlan in areas like Fontaine.
Is that not a major narrative conflict or is there something I'm forgetting? Does anyone have any reasonable theories or something?
