I wonder if I might have some advice. The trouble I'm having is that I'm unable to reliably make card transactions at home because my bank always wants to send a verification code via SMS and my mobile reception has deteriorated to the point where I'm just not getting the codes at all.
It seems to me, my options are:
Move house
Buy a new phone that can receive texts via wifi
Find some other way to receive texts
Somehow boost the signal
Get my bank to accept some other form of verification
Open an account with a service that does not require SMS verification
I've no need for a more advanced phone otherwise, so unless a new phone would be especially cheap, it's not an ideal option.
Experience with other networks is similarly poor so I don't expect any real improvement by switching network.
I think it's unlikely my bank would accept a different form of verification. I suppose I could try switching my contact number to the landline instead.
I obviously need a payment method that will be widely accepted by the sites where I'm trying to use it.
I'd be very helpful for any help you can offer.
