Clear expectations please!

I just need to vent!
I directly support the CEO and offer ad hoc assistance to the COO. COO has a bad habit of neglecting their calendar, not to mention being difficult to reach and generally uncommunicative. (We’re remote.)

We had a companywide meeting yesterday after which the COO was meant to meet with each team member individually. I was asked to place them on the calendar as quickly as possible, before the end of the week. I did as I was asked.

Today in a leadership meeting, the COO informed everyone that I overfilled their calendar and they would not be able to handle so many meetings scheduled so soon. I included brakes and I didn’t schedule anything close to meetings that would require focus time follow up.
To add complexity, they are traveling for the next two weeks and will not be able to add any meetings after Friday.

I’m frustrated and embarrassed to be called out in a leadership meeting when others have no context around the request. Ugh! 😑

Thanks for letting me rant and get it off my chest!

Private inbox and lack of insight

Hi everyone! I’ve been an admin and operations manager for the past 15 years. This is my first EA role. I’m 8 months in and having a hard time getting ahead of things for my exec.

They keep their inbox 100% private and bring me into very few meetings. The company is fully remote, so there’s no picking info up by proximity.
I’m used to being the first to know everything, making decision with my leads and being in on projects from brainstorming phases through execution and follow up. Now I’m hearing about company directives along with the rest of the team.

How do I get ahead of priorities and exec needs when I don’t know what’s coming? Any advice on how to handle this with my exec? Are my expectations totally off? Any tips are appreciated!

▲ 3 r/Debt

Hi everyone!
I have a medical debt from 2 years ago. CCS began calling. I did not claim the debt and told them to send the validation letter. They sent one including the original creditor and amount owed. I sent a certified mail verification request, which they received.

I haven't gotten any specific response to the verification letter. They sent me an invoice with a reduced payment amount, offering to collect 50% instead of 100%, but nothing else.

Should I have received some form of communication regarding my request, specifically my request of proof that they have the legal right to collect the debt? Some sources say they are not required to provide anything except my correct name address, the original creditor, and the amount owed which is on the original validation letter. The FDCPA doesn't specify what constitutes verification (or maybe I just don't understand what I'm reading.)

I'm not sure what to do next. Do I take the half off and pay it even though I don't believe I owe it? Do I wait for a response to the verification request?

More details regarding the debt if you're interested:
I incurred this debt while under the treatment of a 3rd party. The debt is for lab work completed while under their care. They did not required me to sign any acknowledgement of financial responsibility for the lab work, which was listed included under the global treatment fee. I signed no documents with the lab work provider except for writing my initials and birthdate on stickers placed on vials for blood collection. The 3rd party billed insurance for all services, and that bill was paid at the time it was owed.
That's the primary reason I'm requesting documentation that I owe the debt. The 3rd party is no longer in business and there is no one I can contact there regarding the issue.

Playing music on a speaker at the beach is rude. It’s especially rude to do it parked right behind the reserved umbrellas that can’t just pick up and move if they don’t like it. Turning on the radio and then leaving to get in the water will absolutely make me go feral. I’m 100% kicking sand on the blankets of the offenders.

Why is it always stadium country?? I just want to hear the waves and read without hearing jellyroll.
