Read somewhere that the mountain doesn't get smaller, you just have to get better at climbing it. I get it now, and it does feel that way...

I've found that I let myself be happy more. And now seeing someone who genuinely makes me feel more alive and see that there's so much to look forward to.

Kind of a milestone month too since the kid (17F) and I are working on college applications now, and tbh a bit anxious about it. School stuff was always mom's thing (since she was a teacher, she always easily navigated these things).

Hang in there, keep working on it, it gets easier...
