Well, sort of an update.

My first post here was about Brownie, his mama that got sick and went off to pass in peace. The way he looked up when I mentioned Brownie 😢
I always stick around for a few minutes and talk with him because I’m sure he’s lonely since his mama left.

Some days he’ll let me get close and I can even sneak a few pets in while he eats. Other days he’ll only stay within 6 feet of me. It took a couple of weeks to build the trust back but he’s no longer afraid and some days will wait on the outside of the brush along my pergola. If he were domesticated and my indoor/outdoor cat wasn’t such a bully towards him when she sees him, I’d give this baby a home in a heartbeat.
