Sunday thoughts to counteract FUD/dumb narratives being passed around.
I keep seeing the narrative that RC “actively suppressed MOASS” and “has nothing to gain from MOASS” passed around. Many accounts perpetuating these narratives are undoubtedly shills but some are clearly silly apes. Here’s the thing:
- RC didn’t “take steps to actively prevent MOASS”. He took the money that was on the table to accumulate cash NEEDED FOR AN ACQUISITION. He accumulated said cash and NOW IS PURSUING AN ACQUISITION. The thing you all have been begging for is happening and… now you’re bitching about it?
- By selling shares at those moments he in fact DID NOT impact MOASS because he was selling below the majority of their short entry points. This leaves the majority of the shorts SPECIFICALLY still vulnerable. So in fact the exact opposite of “preventing MOASS”.
- The narrative that “he doesn’t want MOASS/MOASS doesn’t do anything for him” is PATENTLY ASININE.
A) he is a massive shareholder. He stands to GAIN more than anyone.
B) his compensation package is DEPENDENT on market cap. MOASS would trigger his compensation to go into effect. AND
C) they are still authorized to sell shares, this means MOASS would mean more money for GameStop, and more equity to leverage in a share exchange for the eBay acquisition. And FINALLY
D) MOASS would be death for shorts, which he despises. So tell me again how he has “nothing to gain from MOASS”? - The fact that price suppression is still so overtly proactive and that legacy media is still running disinformation campaigns MEANS that MOASS is still on the table. Period.
