I see so many excuses justifying the consumption of animal products because it can be hard for people to find food or meet nutritional needs. I don’t live in a particularly vegan-friendly part of the US and I just don’t get it? There is nothing easier than eating a can of beans for dinner, and I can still eat more indulgent meals with a little effort. My grocery bills are far lower being vegan than when I ate meat. Sometimes I can’t eat at get-togethers but who cares?? I eat before or sneak a protein bar, and save money by not eating out. My bloodwork is excellent despite putting almost zero effort or planning into my diet. Choosing to not cause unnecessary harm to animals is EASY and I rest blissfully at night with my decision.
