Help me identify this mint please!

Hi everyone.

My aunt grew this mint in her garden. She said its a certain species of mint in her country, but when I translated what she said it came up as "pennyroyal" which is obviously not safe to consume.

As far as I know, this does not look like pennyroyal. Google lens said it was chocolate mint. But also, I live in a colder place so there is a high chance that it is from the cold. Including a few photos from where she cut it and also where she grows it.

Any insight? I want to tell her if she has been poisoning herself.
