Hi all,
I have very thick and dark hair. And so very persistent. I also have sensitive skin. I have struggled my whole life with hair removal and for the most part I go hairy mode during colder seasons and just cover up. But summer is miserable and I am not confident enough to have my hairy legs on display for the world to see.
Shaving so far unfortunately is the fail-proof method for me but I can't stay on top of it because I have to do it daily and it's time consuming. I tend to use an electric shaver because the regular kind irritates my skin which means I can never get a close shave.
Things I've tried:
Waxing: Hair would often rip instead of get pulled out so I had inconsistent results. Had ingrowns no matter how much I exfoliated and used various products. Skin was red for several days, up to a week, after waxing and then by the time it calmed down the hair was back. However, this was years ago and I'm willing to try again with some new tips or something.
Sugaring: Same issue as waxing except messier.
Epilating: Used Braun brand. I really wanted this to work for me and it worked slightly better than waxing but still the irritation occured.
Lasering: Hair came back quickly lol. Not willing to keep spending hundreds of dollars for frequent treatments.
I haven't tried hair removal creams like Nair due to having sensitive skin and reviews saying that it won't remove stubborn hair. I'm also open to retrying things I've already tried if anyone has suggestions.
