I need to hear from the families who have successfully kept their babies safe from another anaphylactic food reaction without removing all allergens from everyone else’s diet. Specifically dairy & egg as they are in a lot of foods.

How did you cook with the allergens? Separate pots and pans? Separate sponge? Wash the floor daily?

My 7 month old had an anaphylactic reaction to egg/dairy/coconut. I’ve become so paranoid/anxious/edgy ever since. We have a 3year old & I’m struggling figuring out how cautious we have to be. We don’t want to remove all allergens from the house when others don’t have allergies. Prior to the episode, we obviously didn’t directly feed her the foods unsupervised but weren’t extra cautious (ex. Toddler drank milk around her with often spilling it; I didn’t wash my hands 50 times when cooking; I wasn’t paranoid about crumbs). How do I go about life now? Do I buy separate utensils & cooking pans for baby? Do I wash my hands 50 times? Do I make sure toddle is spotless during every meal? How do I have peace of mind introducing new food?

We have EpiPen & Benadryl at hand always.
