Hello everyone. I will keep things as short as I can here. I know a lot of folks are scraping by. So I very much understand that asking for help is not only bold, but a long shot. Last year I was diagnosed with severe degenerative joint disease parallel to bilateral distal clavicular osteolysis. In short - my cartilage eroded in both shoulders within weeks out of the blue , and I have continued to decline in regards to my shoulder bones mutilating the edges of my collarbone. It became so difficult to function, that I lost my job in February. I have struggled to qualify for SNAP, and I'm not really understanding why. I have an in person appointment a week from today in town. As well as an issue holding up access to Medicaid, which thankfully will be resolved either end of this week or beginning of next. So I'm getting closer to rescheduling my bone removal surgeries that were canceled when I lost insurance thru my job. However, during this time I've had to go without my needs met regularly. I've lost a considerable amount of weight from lack of food , am mostly restricted to in town travel without funds for gas and rationed my very powerful medications to the point of now I'm struggling to drive at all ( pain, withdrawal symptoms causing pretty intense dizziness )
My primary doctor has assured me he is working on resources as well as my local workone office and temp agency, because I'm very much struggling to find a job I can do during this time. Once my medications are back in my system and I'm evened out , I plan to door dash and whatever else I can with my car until at least the first surgery is complete. But that requires cash for meds or waiting for insurance etc etc.
My bottom line here , I just could use some help all around. I do have a friend willing to grocery shop and pick things up for me if I can generate some cash flow. Food and medications are my first and foremost priority at this time.
Again, I know we are all in a pickle trying to get by . It means a great deal to me for those of you just stopping by simply to wish me well and give my post a read. We all know the price at the grocery store and the gas pump is super high, let alone medication cost on top of that.
