Canyon Endurace sizing help (183cm / 85cm inseam) , Canyon puts me mid-range, but size M gave me neck pain
Hi everyone,
I’m about to order a new Canyon Endurace (looking at CF SLX 7/8 Di2 and CF 8 Di2) and I’m stuck on sizing.
I’ll add a screenshot of the Canyon sizing calculator/chart, it places me pretty much in the M range, which is why I’m unsure.
My stats / current bike
Male, 183 cm, 78 kg
Inseam: 85 cm
Current bike: Decathlon Triban RC520 size L, I can ride long distances comfortably
Current stem length on the Triban: 110 mm
Main issue: neck sensitivity
Important history
I owned a 2023 Canyon Endurace in size M (Canyon recommended)
I got neck pain pretty quickly and it felt like the front end was maybe too low / too aggressive for me
What I’m buying
Canyon Endurace (CF SLX 7 Di2 / CF SLX 8 Di2 / CF 8 Di2)
Goal: faster/better bike, but still comfortable for long rides
Questions
Given that I’m mid-range between sizes in the calculator, and M caused neck pain, would you go L?
Any setup tips to avoid neck pain (spacers, bar height, reach, stem length)?
If you’re a similar height/inseam and ride an Endurace: what size did you choose and how does it feel?
