130 down from highest

I’ve been in a journey, friends. I was never a waif but always healthy. Two kids, demanding kids, working too hard to keep my marriage together.

I’m sharing my spirit here because I don’t have anyone to share it with who would understand.

I knew at some point I would need to find a bra job ands that I was less likely to get hired in a bigger body. I did a VSG and lost 115 pounds. Then Covid and I moved from a city to a rural area. No gym within 15 miles, no sidewalks. I also retired, gained 65 lbs back.

A couple years ago, I went in a hike and in a muddy rainforest ravine, I couldn’t get myself up the slope and had to be rescued. Plus it was hot as hell (in the tropics).

I decided that if I was going to be spending a lot of time here, I couldn’t be fat. I did Contrave, lost about 20 lbs (again and again). That wasn’t going to work for me so I talked with my doctor about GLPs, specifically Zep. Insurance made me go on a weight loss pill, to prove I wasn’t losing weight on it before I could get Zep. I was on that pill in May, then for Zep in July.

I did 2.5mg for about 6 weeks, then switched to 5mg. (Highest dose).

As of this morning, I am 130lbs form from my highest weight!

Slow and steady, keeping a lifestyle I knew would be sustainable ( no going to the gym 6xwk, no could macros or calories).

Photos are from the 90s, 2014, 2020, June 2025, this week.
