Trying to replace a starter on a 1989 k5 Blazer 350 automatic. I’ve tried a few different starters with different nose cones and I always come to this exact point where it just feels too big. Like it doesn’t wanna go in all the way. I’ve tried about two or three different starters from the parts house. It’s not making sense to me because I feel like this would be pretty standard.
EDIT: for all that have answered thank you! It was the inspection cover. I didn’t realize it could be removed to help install. It felt like the starter was using that support of some sort. Rookie move! I’m learning by doing and watching the YouTubes. I appreciate all the comments and answers leading me to the soliton.
