Concerned husband (26m) is having heart issues
Husband is 26m, 5 feet 8 inches, weighs 130 lbs. Takes omeprazole 20mg daily and cyproheptadine 4mg for appetite. Had a heart murmor for a short time as a baby.
We are very concerned he has something wrong, we just don't know what. A few days ago he started feeling some shortness of breath. It has persisted, this is the fourth day now. He says he feels pressure and slight discomfort if he breathes in all the way. It's worse when he is laying on his back. It is strange because he says it gets worse later on in the day.
We went to urgent care and they took his vitals and basically said they don't think there is anything wrong with him. No further testing was done and we didn't press for it as we are struggling financially right now.
Today, we had soup at my parents house and he thought he was having heartburn. It seems to be almost pulsating? Going away and then coming back, just this burning feeling in his chest. He took 40 mg of famotidine, then pepto, and then tums. None of it seemed to help.
Seeing what google says about all of these symptoms and how there can be signs present weeks before, I am really really concerned he is on the verge of a cardiac event or something.
Are we worrying for no reason or is this more serious than the urgent care doc says?
