The only major plot lines I remember is it was a Black boxer who was threatened to take a dive during a match. He didn't do it, they broke his hand and he was never able to box again. There's not some twist where because he made the moral decision his life got better; quite the opposite actually where I *think* he debates if he made the right decision. Basically, just a really sad ending.

If it matters: I saw this probably around 2009 but it was definitely way older. It was playing on a channel like MeTV during some sort of marathon. It was on at like midnight or later.
