Finding the daily average of date occurrences from a date range
I have a sheet with 1000+ entries, and each one has the date it was entered in column F. I want to take these and find out what our daily average is by looking at how many times a date appears within a month. So the end result will be along the lines of "We had X amount of daily entries on average within the month of January 2026. Ideally this could be flexed to represent a weekly amount as well.
The issue I keep running into is that I can't seem to find something that averages the dates, or it's expectedting values from two different columns.
Additionally, this will be referencing a different tab, but I want to get the base formula working before I add the syntax for the other tab.
I have been to page 3 of google results looking for help, as well as dozens of AI prompt, and nothing seems to be working. Any help is appreciated because I'm at my wit's end and I'm positive I'm not the first person to want this formula.
