Pike push up advice.

I’m 16 and around 194 cm tall so pike push ups feel kinda awkward for me compared to other exercises. I’ve been doing calisthenics for a bit and I’d say I’m beginner intermediate level but this movement still feels weird especially trying to keep balance and get proper range of motion

Right now I can do normal push ups fine and some pull ups too but pike push ups feel much harder than they probably should. I’m mainly trying to build shoulder strength and eventually progress into harder pushing exercises later on

For taller people did you struggle with these at first too and what progression helped the most. Should I focus on elevated pike push ups, hands elevated, or something else first. Also any form tips that helped you make the movement feel smoother would help
