Time to finish up the unit.

I added some very subtle highlights and edge highlights and then used an enamel wash to deep the model (pulled some off with white spirits).

Sword still not done but I’m happier with how it’s going. Thanks for all of the advice!

I plan on adding some battle damage to the armor once the oil is dry and then get the sword done.

Any more advice is always welcome as I’m new to this and super keen to paint but more importantly I want to learn to play!

I’m only making a separate post with the update because I don’t think most people who have advice would look at the old post to see an update.

How can I improve this? It isn’t as cool as many of the other ICC I’ve seen but I can’t put my finger on why it looks so uninteresting but also lifeless.

I’ll try anything but the only thing I’m I don’t really want to do is edge highlights as I personally think it looks a bit cartoonish.

Was going for a more deep teal look but the models looked super flat. Kept highlighting up but I think I want too far.
