Event that occurred in my bedroom, reposting to try and find more people with similar stories.
Hey all, My name is Maeve and this is one of my paranormal experiences; when I was younger, I would say about 7-9 I had a really strange paranormal experience that I fairly often think about and have only been able to find one other person that had a similar experience.
One night after I had laid down to go to bed; I was still awake and then all of a sudden everything around me starting shaking/vibrating to am extreme extent; when I say everything I also mean my bed and myself were shaking/vibrating. Then after about 4 seconds of this shaking I look out in front me (I was laying on my left side and my bedroom was in my living room so I was looking into the dining room/kitchen area) and there was this shadow creature.
He was completely two-dimensional and had the appearance of a typical demon other than the fact he was short, I guess. He had short horns that stuck out from the side of his head that curved upwards, a round head, and I vaguely remember claws. While I see him the shaking is still going on with the extremity it started with and the figure starts "walking" towards me; I put walking in air quotes because it wasn't smoothe uninterrupted steps like a person would take, the best way I can describe it is "glitch walking" it's like he would disappear and then appear a few steps closer.
I was freaking out and crying and screaming, but the shaking didn't stop, and the figure didn't go away. He got right up to my face; like if I wiggled a little bit closer to the edge of my bed my nose would have touched him; once he got that close I screamed for my mom and then the shaking stopped and the figure vanished right before my eyes. Reading this people may think it was a dream but I know for a fact it wasn't just because of how real it felt and thst there was no transition from dreaming to waking up; it was all one seamless experience. Also, immediately after the figure disappeared, I sprang up from my bed and sprinted to my mother's room. Has anyone had anything similar happen to them? I've had reddit for quite a while, but I never thought to post about it here. For some reference, I am 19 now, so this was 10-12 years ago.
