Dumbledore was very close to immortality.

I am not referring to the obvious ways like horcruxes or the philosophers stone.

Throughout the books we have seen 5 animagi McGonagall, James, Sirius, Peter and Reeta, out of these we have seen the first 3 character's patronus. The animal you transform into much like a wand, chooses you and you cannot control what animal you turn into, so it is safe to assume that the animal you turn into is your patronus. And we know that patronus can be magical creatures, like Dumbledore, his patronus is a pheonix. So if Dumbledore was to become an Animagus he would become a Pheonix. And as we know pheonix are immortal. This immortality could only be achieved by Dumbledore. He would have become extremely overpowered, immortality, healing tears, flight, flame travel which is just apperation, carrying immensely heavy loads or multiple people with them. It would also explain how he can apperate in and out of hogwats. It wouldn't have been tough for Dumbledore either, I mean Pettigrew did it.

I am not missing anything, am I?

I feel like the killing curse is exceptionally glazed and overrated. Like sure it is unblockable and stuff, but just take a look at the downsides. It is extremely traceable, by checking the wands history, it damages the soul of the caster, which was a huge concern for snape when he was assigned the task of killing Dumbledore. Thats not even the worst part, it requires true intent which means that it doesn't work often for wizards that aren't maniacal murderers. The same problem occurs for crucio when Harry tries it on Belatrix in the minestry it doesn't take full effect due to lack of intent. Honesty imperio is the ultimate curse, because you can make the subject kill themselves anyway.

It also bothers me how much voldemort spams the killing curse. He becomes one of the greatest wizards of his time and after all of that all he performs is the killing curse. The killing curse to him is what expelliamus is to harry. We have seen such innovative deaths throughout the books like when molly atomised Belatrix. For a man of voldemort's character it just seems unfitting to give such an undramatic and de- escalating death so often. I mean this guy wanted legendary items from each house of hogwarts to create horcruxes that would be worthy of a peice of his soul and all he does is fire green jets of light from his wand. Where is the brilliance, where is the extraordinary wizard that he was?

I am not trying to offend anyone, I know this is about religion and a delicate topic to discuss, but anyways

In Harry Potter everyone in the muggle and wizarding world celebrates Christmas. However in the harry potter universe wouldn't Jesus Christ have been a normal wizard? I mean he turned water into wine, Seamus Finnigan attempts and fails in the movies due to his horrendous pronunciations, but it is possible for wizards. He famously came back to life, Big deal voldemort did it aswell. He walked on water, wizards can teleport and fly. Im not sure about his other endeavours but there was something related to multiplying edibles aswell, Professor McGonagall, performed a transfiguration charm or something for infinite sandwiches aswell. Then why celebrate Christmas???

Guys i really do not want to offend anyone, I am aware of the magnitude this sort of topic has, and I humbly apologise for any misunderstanding or carelessness on my part
