I just got an internship and haven’t changed my name yet legally. I’m planning on trying to get that done this summer though. I want to tell my internship that I don’t go by my legal name so I don’t have to hear that all summer. I don’t know if that’s appropriate though and I don’t want to give a bad impression or anything. The internship is for a police department and I’m trying to maintain professionalism in doing this. Right now I’m just setting up my schedule with a coordinator and I’m not entirely sure when to tell them if at all. How would you guys go about this?
