33/F. As the title says, I’ve been on methotrexate for almost three months now and the pain in my wrist is the same, the past week I would say it’s actually worse! And it may be unrelated but I’ve started feeling a dull ache deep in my fingers on the same side.
I was hoping to see some improvement by now, I know it takes time though..When I saw my rheumatologist after two months I said “no change” so she responded “i’ll increase your methotrexate from 15mg to 20mg” ..When I see her in two weeks I fear her response will be to increase the dosage.
Maybe I was misdiagnosed? All my pain is on my right side, when typically it’s both sides for RA. When my blood was tested my rheumatoid factor was slightly above average and my CCP was very high, when I had a ultrasound in both my wrists the left wrist is normal but the right wrist showed/shows inflammation in the joint.
I know I am lucky with my symptoms and only have one painful wrist, but it’s my dominant arm and the fatigue/pain makes me feel like I’m losing my mind. I work full time, trying to make a living and I’m just so exhausted.
Any experiences, any advice, any stories you can share will be extremely appreciated 🙏 thank you
