Hi shipmates! I have an administrative question that doesn’t seem very clear to me, so I thought I would ask here and see what I should expect.
To keep things simple, I am currently almost at my 8 year mark, I’ve never reenlisted (due to 6 year base contract and training extensions) and I am currently undergoing in-rate retraining, but I’ve hit a situation where I may no longer be eligible for my rate.
For context, The training orders I am currently executing incurred 3 years upon completion of said training. I signed an OTT to undergo my current re-training, and the OTT expiration date matches my PRD and EAOS, and that is in a couple months. I have been cut orders with 3 years of obligated service, but I may not be able to execute them due to being ineligible.
So my question becomes, if I am deemed ineligible to execute my orders, with me still being in training and my EAOS/PRD coming up soon, what would that mean for me?
