Spot Hogg Boonie vs Tommy Hogg

Can someone give the black and white differences?

What makes the Boonie about $100 more?

New ROTI system, don’t think I’d use it but maybe it’d be desirable in potential resale?

Just looking for thoughts

Talk me out of (or in to?) an Arc 34

A couple of years ago I went from a Halon 32 to a BT Core SS; mainly choosing the Core because I could do a lot of the work on it myself because the only shop I have near me sucks a lot. I figured I’d have the Core for a number of years and then evaluate as necessary. However.. after the first few months with the Core, I decided that whenever the time did come, I’d probably go back to Mathews because I simply shot it noticeably better and just liked how it felt more; though in no way was I planning to change out this year… but then I pulled an elk tag and the mental gymnastics began…

Arc 34 now gets me something I can similarly tune myself, longer axle to axle, 5-10 more pounds (70lb Core; I’d try 75-80 with Arc), less let off, and in theory overall more forgiving bow in a brand I have a history of enjoying shooting more.

Cons: money, starting from scratch 4 months out (not that big a deal because I shoot a lot but a consideration), possibly jumping the gun and missing next years new tech. Re. ‘Money’ - definitely can swing it and would be recouping some loss by, eventually, selling the Core but it doesn’t make it not hurt.

I’m planning on heading two plus hours away on Monday to test drive an Arc 34, so my pre-journey question is: think I am just new-bow high and any perceived gains are in my head? Or do you think it’s worth it to trick myself in having more confidence in something I, may or may not actually, shoot better, especially at a critter?

I go home tomorrow from a work trip and will have about a week left of our season in New Mex.

Ive sat nights, mornings, hiked many miles through the mountains, scouted, called, the whole nine. At best, found some old roost trees and elsewhere a couple tracks, but never panned out. Definitely not in any of their usual haunts of years previous.

Hit me with any last minute tactics you think I should try for the late season in the southern rockies/ taos-adjacent-NM.
