2 days ago i updated my desktop computer, which uses a Gigabyte B650M H motherboard with a Ryzen 8600G CPU, to the newest version of the operating system, and the ethernet connection simply stopped working. I have spent all my free time since then trying to fix it, I tried multiple tests and I pinpointed the issue down to a likely kernel issue OR a r8169 driver issue, since the same cable works in my laptop and also in this PC using a 6.6 version of the kernel.
Anyway, I have genuinely tried everything I could find online to make it work, but the only reliable fix I could find was using an older kernel version. I don't want to have to reinstall my entire operating system because it's a pain in the ass, so I ask if there is any known fix for a broken ethernet connection in my specific case.
